Darn yer riddles, ya saucy female! What d'ya mean?
On Neil Gaiman's journal, he posted a link to riddleplanet.com Well, there goes my work ethic. How am I supposed to resist that? It's a good thing I got a fair amount of work done this morning. Right now, I am working on this riddle: Twelve white ponies, on a red hill. We always move, but we always stand still. What are we? The hell if I know. Yet.
Today we get to have ice cream out in the courtyard. Because one year ago we launched some policy or procedure and now it's been a year. So we get ice cream. Lovely how that works, huh? We traditionally have ice cream soirees out in the court yard in the summer time. But this one is for a select few, and it's Cold Stone Creamery Ice Cream. And, right now, it's all we are living for.
I hate it when I end a sentence in a preposition. phooey. Today's title is actually a quote from some video game, but I couldn't resist it. I'm saucy!
EDIT: the answer to the above riddle is in the comments section.

She had heard this one. I guess it's in the hobbit or something? It does not make sense, we have more than 12 teeth. I would protest this riddle, except we answered it and moved on.
Now I am working on a logic puzzle.

Logic? That will take you....let's see....carry the five....roughly forever.
That teeth thing is messed up. You should complain.
Also, I am waiting around for a print job to finish and have nothing to do except badger you.

shut up... i figured it out. but it was hard.
There are 5 houses in 5 different colors. In each house lives a man with a different nationality. The 5 owners drink a certain type of beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar, and keep a certain pet. No owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar or drink the same beverage.
Given:
The Brit lives in the red house.
The Swede keeps dogs as pets.
The Dane drinks tea.
The green house is on the left of the white house.
The green house's owner drinks coffee.
The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds.
The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill.
The man living in the center house drinks milk.
The Norwegian lives in the first house.
The man who smokes Blends lives next to the one who keeps cats.
The man who keeps the horse lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill.
The owner who smokes Bluemasters drinks beer.
The German smokes Prince.
The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
The man who smokes Blends has a neighbor who drinks water.
The question is: "Who owns the fish?"

in the hobbit, it's thirty white horses and it's "first we champ, then we stamp, then we stand still" so i'm thinking the answer to this one must be something else,

It can't be something else. I would not have been able to advance, had I not gotten the answer right.
It's a stupid riddle.
