The second one was "simonese", or however it's spelled. All the songs in the Sims are like that, as is their speech, in general.
Hey Jodi, I read something recently about how the Barenaked Ladies actually wrote and performed some of the new songs available on the Sims2 Family "extras" pack, which isn't an expansion, but just a whole bunch of cool new items, songs, etc.
On "The Urbz: Sims in the city" for PS2, the intro song is "Let's get it started", by the Black Eyed Peas, only done in simonese. I don't like the game that much, actually, but the kids do.

oh that would be SO COOL!!
there are other songs i recognize in the college rock station. i just don't know from where. i can't quit figure out what they really are.
