After my meeting, some words and phrases you will not hear me use in coversation
1. infastructure
2. core operating plan
3. strategic operating plan
4. execute
5. ops plan
6. deliverables
7. engagement level
8. actionable
9. margin analysis
10. aggressive timeline.
Most of them have no meaning for me. However, someone answered Evildeb's question today, wanted to make sure she was "aligned with reality" and I can see that coming in handy now and then.

Hearing one of those words in conversation usually make me twitch uncomfortably. Seeing all of those words, together... full-on convulsions.

so now you know how i felt yesterday afternoon.
fee, i MIGHT use execute, in terms of putting someone to death, but i'll probably never execute a strategic operating plan.

only phrase i might use from my last meeting: "if you're not cheating, you're not really trying."
(as said by my boss. heh.)

yeah - my POE also has the business-speak disease. it's horrid. there's a book i heard about called "death sentences" all about how corporate speak is killing our ability to truly communicate. i know someone who annoys me so much because she talks and talks and doesn't pay any mind to the fact that she's not saying anything!!!
