weird...I know a guy who already has an iPhone here in Canadaland - each email he sends has the signature "sent from so-and-so's iPhone".
So there's definitely a work-around for people in Canada desperate for the iPhone. It may involve spending a lot of money though...
Wait! I just remembered I lived in Quebec - not CANADA. Sheesh, what was I thinking?
