I want to go on a vacation. Somewhere I’ve never been before. Somewhere that isn’t just visiting friends, or Las Vegas. Those are my two default types of vacations.
Where should I go?
I want to go on a vacation. Somewhere I’ve never been before. Somewhere that isn’t just visiting friends, or Las Vegas. Those are my two default types of vacations.
Where should I go?
domestic or international? artyfarty, nature-based, or traditional sight-seeing? with water or without? warm or cold?
Since I am not really sure where you have been before…how about Yellowstone, Washington DC, Jackson Hole, or Chicago.
Internationally: New Zealand, Amsterdam, Rome, Paris, Hawaii (I know, still US).
Of course, if you need a friend to tag along, just let me know.
As an international destination, might I suggest Paris? Otherwise, come to Washington DC!!
South Utah is amazing if you want to stay (relatively) close to home… you get to see Goblin Valley, Lake Powell, Zion National Park, and my personal favorite… BRYCE CANYON NATIONAL PARK! (beautiful, beautiful, beautiful). Other great destinations in the USA… Maui, Sedona, and New York.
International? My favorite destination is Italy: Rome, Venice, Florence, Pisa. All amazing. London is sweet. I loved Barcelona. Or if Asia sounds interesting, Thailand is filled with wonders.
BTW… you changed the name of your comments script here, but not on the preview page, so it doesn’t work to post from there. 🙂
Rome, Paris, Thailand, Australia, Alaska, Cabo San Lucas.
not nearly as exotix as the rest but theres awesome places in canada that would love your company. halifax, my hood, is awesome in the summer but my favourite place in canada is montreal, paris on this side of the pond, and so much sexier…
i have a real problem with typing without looking like an uneducated bafoon, i swear i’m not as stupid as you might think.
i agree with Chris – come to DC!! we can show you around! plus, i haven’t seen you in ages!
although i guess it would be ‘visiting friends’ if you came out here… so maybe DC would defeat the purpose…
San Diego! Oh, wait…..nevermind.
London! Stonehenge! Bath! I loved England so much, and I think that it’s a great international “primer”. =)
Have you ever been to Hawaii? I’d go to Honolulu. It’s beautiful there. If you go there, you can have your shopping needs met, and your pretty outdoor needs met. The long plane ride is the only downside. But well worth it! Secondly, I would suggest Cabo San Lucas at the tip of Baja California, Mexico. Awesome times.
i’d go to amsterdam and have some space-cake and rent a prostitute, to ask her what is the life of a prostitute really like? does she enjoy it?
actually, i’d also go to marrakesh, or morocco, or marseilles, or monaco, or cyprus. damn, i was going with a theme of “m” cities.
dude, why don’t you just go to scotland?
there are SO many wonderful places to go. you’ll have to answer my questions before i can suggest some. 🙂
i’ve never been, but crater lake is supposed to be beautiful and it’s not too far from you: http://volcano.und.nodak.edu/vwdocs/volc_images/north_america/crater_lake.html
Another vote for Amsterdam — it’s supposed to be amazing.
I live very close (well, comparatively) to Montreal. Just saying. 😛

Do you remember this song?
Actually, U.K. is well worth a visit if you like to site-see. The weather however is grey and wet, the beaches are grey and wet and the food is well pretty much the same and it is a very long way from PNW.
Paris is fab, but Montreal closer.
Why don’t you rent a Mini-Winnie with Drink Jack and do Vancouver Island? It would be more than a vacation, it would be…an expedition!
actually, i suggest quebec city. it’s beautiful. i want to go back someday. it’s like going to a foreign country without the foreign. wait, it counts as foreign, it’s canadia. but you know what i mean. i think. go there.
You should go to Philadelphia. They have the Mutter Musuem of Medical Oddities AND a Rodin museum. Also, they have cheesesteak sandwiches. That’s Rodin, the sculpter. Not Rodan, the flying monster who battles Godzilla.
