Hi! Welcome to Week 24. I hope you are excited because we are two weeks away from the big WEEK 26 HALF YEAR CELEBRATION!! Whoooo! Didn’t know we where having one, did you? I’m still searching for the perfect theme. If you have ideas, email me. Next week, Week 25, we will celebrating the autumn equinox with a … wait for it… Autumn theme, not unlike our Summer theme last June.
This week, our theme is Wishing, to complement last week’s Waiting theme. Because someone is under the impression that Jack Johnson is secretly in love with her and writes all his songs for her. Except Banana Pancakes, which he obvious wrote for me. Now me… I’m under the impression that E is writing all his music about me. Have I not mentioned the Eels lately? I’ve been remiss. They are still awesome, and my little fiction was writing while listening to them.
You Wish Upon Stars
She wishes upon the moon. She likes the in your face proximity. The moon wouldn’t be able to tell you sweet lies, or false promises. It isn’t all flash and sparkle. The moon has an honest face, and even if it can’t deliver, it’s happy to listen.
i like it
[the following is loosely based on a present-tense true story]
chocolate craving!
CRAVE.
fuck, no candy in the house.
wait…semi-sweet chocolate, white chocolate, and butterscotch baking chips. (emergency supplies)
yum! i think i’ll have some of these. and some more.
sugar, sugar, sugar. whoa.
too much sugar.
ugh. i think i’m gonna hurl. i wish i no ate them.
I am not ready to write my 50 words yet but I love the wishing on the moon thing. Jeez you’re good Jodi!
I sat in the back of the car with my cat on the way to the vet. Mom was worried he’d struggle, but with his kidneys shutting down, he only wanted to sleep. I was wishing he would, in a way: A nice, peaceful sleep. I cried for my friend.
Jack Johnson isn’t the ONLY one secretly in love with you!
Christine used the wheelbarrow to get him to the old well. He was heavy and not much help with his hands and feet bound so tightly.
“Make a wish, Darlin'” She whispered into his ear as he squealed beneath the duct tape.
SPLASH!
ìYes, Pierce, I will be your wife!î she gasped. ìI canít believe it took you so long to ask!î
Turning from her mirror, she flung herself into her bed dejectedly. No amount of wishing would make this dream come true. She had to meet Pierce Brosnan before he could propose.
Just in case there has been any confusion, Jack is in love with me. Secretly of course, I mean he’s famous and I’m married, can you imagine the scandal? But it IS me he wrote all those songs for.
Well, except for Banana Pancakes, which he wrote for Jodi.
Whomever it is that feels that my darling Jack Johnson is in love with her is sadly delusional because he’s totally in love with…wait for it…ME!
Seriously though…what a hottie he is!
Zanie, do we need to take a meeting in the girls room???? Don’t make me take off my jewelry! LOL
He is just so adorable isn’t he? You just want to lick him, all over.
ìWell, Iím waiting,î the genie said, ìwhat is your third wish?î Already rich and beautiful, she pondered. Just then, her cat walked in. ìI wish my cat were a handsome prince.î POOF! The prince sauntered up to her and melted her heart, ìArenít you sorry you had me neutered?î
Idle Fairy Tale Musings
If wishes were horses, what would a horse be?
If wishes were horses, mine would be a Shetland Pony: clever, cute, and strong.
If wishes were horses, who would muck out the stables?
If wishes were horses, could everyone have gotten out of New Orleans?
We wish it were so.
Christine,
Bring it, girl!
And after you kick my butt, we can go out for Banana Pancakes and mourn over the fact that we’re BOTH married and Jack Johnson is still a hottie!

The engines started to whirl. Directions are given and pointing is done. People look around, then settle down for the long flight as we push off. Lumbering down the taxiway, I turn to stare out the window. Many things are good in my life, but I wish for even more.
wow! excellent job everyone!
reader: you know that secretly i wish i WAS the moon.
christine and zanie: i think you both demonstrating wishful thinking at it’s finest. and i liked your stories too.
thomas: i think i’ve had that wish, too.
lewis: hi! welcome! man, cats would probably make great prince charmings. i bet they are champion snugglers.
river: been there. but never with butterscotch, white chocolate and semi sweet all at once.
matt: more people secretly in love with me? ok, everyone secretly in love with me raise your hands!
suzi: i think my horse would be black, except with a white star, and i would call it…. STAR… and it would be my best friend and it would love me above all other people and horses and oh the adventures we’d have!
jack: have fun in SF! let know what adventures you find.
*raises hand with big grin*
*raises hand too*
Ceecy was tired of making other people’s wishes come true. If Faerie Godmothers Inc. didn’t have such strict company policies forbidding the personal use of wish dust Ceecy would snort a whole barrel’s worth. Unfortunately, her first wish is for the ability to go against policies without feeling paralyzing guilt.
i would raise my hand, but then she would know i’m just playing when i tell her what a suckwad she is. hey sucko – it’s the last hour of the week. where are you? ENTERTAIN ME! 😛
