I’m trying out different allergy medicines, to find one that does not make me sleepy or dopey. Dopier. So far, not much luck. I almost got in an accident today. Not because of my driving, but because my reaction time to someone else’s dumb driving was slower.
I’m also wearing my tall shoes today. They make me wobbly on a good day. So…

Have you tried Claritin D or an over-the-counter Claritin D rip-off? It works well for me.
I know that you had Allegra D, that doesn’t work for you? It works great, for me, and doesn’t make me drowsy, at all.
What is it that you are allergic to this time of year (besides leaving Canada.) Is it mold spores or ???
i’m guessing it’s mold. the last time i was tested for allergies, mold was a big one. dogs and grass were another. grass is my worst allergy.
i’m going to try both allegra and claritin. someone told me they were cheaper in canada, so i’ll pick some up. i THINK allegra is over the counter there? we’ll see.
Allegra is OTC (no prescription required), but I found out last night that some pharmacies now keep it behind the counter…like cough syrup, Nicorette, and other community-destroying substances.
It also costs about $32 for a packet of either 24 or 48. Colour me unimpressed. I felt stupid admitting I couldn’t afford it after wandering the store four times and asking the pharmacist to take it out from behind the counter. There must be a black market I can tap somewhere.
I tried Benedryl the other day. I was desparate. Hadn’t tried the stuff in years. That? Was a mistake.
