From my fortune cookie today. I’m pretty excited because I have some plants in the works. Like… PLANS in all caps. Most of which I am not ready to divulge yet. But trust me, some of them are genius plans. I will share one with you, my halloween costume plans… there’s a party going on in Victoria. Costumes required. So we were all sitting around discussing what costumes Wil might consider wearing. He would not go as his and hers Zorros, much to my disappointment…. you get a sword! I mean, come on! But, what we’ve come up with is a repeat of my pregnant Catholic school girl costumes, which is a favorite of mine because I get to put my hair in pigtails and suck on lollipops. And Wil is going to be a priest. Maybe. He might change his mind. Even tho, I told him if he lost the white collar and added sunglasses, he could morph into johnny cash as the night progressed. But I think Pregnant Catholic School Girl and Priest is a good combo.
I’ve never had a costume combo before. That is to say, I’ve never even considered the pairing of costumes to make a theme. Yet another sign of Girlfriend Mushiness, I suppose. Awwwww….
Anyway, my second fortune, for I had two cookies, was “You are a person of imaginative, yet honest intentions.”
Uhh… ok. I guess so.
Haha I knew a couple where the girl dressed up as a Catholic school BOY and the boyfriend dressed up as a priest!! LOL
The priest idea is pretty damn good.
He could go as a punk rocker/bad boy that you brought home to “ma”.
I hear you on the “couple” bit on costume party. This will be my first year to do that 🙂
The Vickers & Tarts theme is very common for ‘fancy dress’ parties in the U.K. As you probably know we don’t really celebrate Hallowe’en, although this is happily changing. However, without a specific day to ‘dress up’ it seems any occassion gets used for ‘themed’ parties. The last three Liz and I went to were Van Helsing, Moulin Rouge and Hollywood Stars.
In terms of ‘couple themes’ the funniest one I recall was friends who went as a Vibrator and an Everready battery.

oh – and i forgot to comment on my costume. howie has a hot dog and a banana costume in his closet leftover from bay to breakers. i suggested our theme be phallic foods and we get a carrot and a cucumber to go with us, but we can’t find two others. we have no party to go to, though. what i REALLY want to do, though, is get s second banana costume and go as good banana and evil banana, complete with moustache and beard.

anyway, i’m excited for halloween too! i’m gunna be strawberry shortcake, should be interesting.. just, gotta figure out where i’ll be, and if i’m home, what party to go too.. so many decisions, oh my!
