Do ants have genitalia? Evildeb wants to know…
Mortality has claimed another insect victim. Today I found Daren dead… at the bottom of the habitat. Gus and Tyree are still not getting along, and can stand for several seconds, just staring at each other, waiting for the other one to back down. I think the larger Tyree is very tolerant of the smaller, but pushier, Gus. He could probably eat his head for lunch. Bastian has shown talent as a contortionist and held a pose for over a minute that I was sure would damage his head. Except, it turned out that was his butt.
Rochelle just stands at the top of the gel mountain, waving her antennae at us, merrily. She’s such a sweetheart.
Amelia and the Ants
The ants were very very busy over the holiday weekend. They’ve completely buried the test tube, except for the opening. They seem to be hanging out in it. We think it might be their break room or lounge.

Ever since I got back from the King Dork book signing, with music, I’ve been enjoying the MTX playlist in my iTunes. So today’s Then and Now comes out of that. It’s a song I’ve been signing along with for years. When I told Mr. Moon I was going to use this song, his reply was “KiKi Deeeeeee!”

I sincerely hope that Dr. Frank someday posts the delightful “Cingular Wireless Song” he played at the book signing. I think anyone with a cell phone… or cable… or regular phone… or anything that has required a phone call to customer service, would enjoy it. I wish I could tell you who was signing this song with Dr. Frank, but I couldn’t find that information. If I had only known I was going to do this, I could have asked … but I would have been too shy anyway.

I figure … what’s the point of having a webcam if people can’t say hi to me while they spy on me? Right? So I added a shoutbox./tagboard thingy. So, if you are looking at me, you’d better say Hi! I’m sure I will tweak it further later…

Just my geek opinion
If you create a pdf manual, and it’s over 3 pages long and you don’t include bookmarks ,and hyperlinks in the TOC, you are an IDIOT!
Just my humble opinion and one of my pet peeves. Ummm… sorry if you, dear reader, create pdf manuals without bookmarks now. I don’t mean you. I mean those other guys.

Webcam thingy
So I made a little webcam link off the left, see it? When you click it, it should open up the webcam page in a small browser window. Wheee! I’ll make something fancier, buttonwise, later. I was just trying to get the pop-up aspect of it down. Of course, I have only tested this in Safari and Firefox, so I have no idea if it works in Win IE.
Dr. Stevil and the Ants
Yesterday, in the waning hours of the work day, I met Dr. Stevil in the hall as I was walking to the Little Girls Room. He had a small padded envelope in his hands and he waved it at me.
Jodi: are they here?!
Dr. Stevil: they are HERE!!
Jodi: don’t do anything until I get back! Please!
Fav. Xboss H: [[I have more than one fav Xboss at my POE]] What? What does he have?
Jodi: ANTS!
Fav. Xboss H: What does he have? Ants?
Jodi: yeah! like bug ants.
Fav. Xboss H: Why does he have ants?
Jodi: Why not?
Truth is, this is why Dr. Stevil received ants in the mail.
The Discovery Ant Gel Habitat from the Discovery Channel store. We’ve been waiting weeks and weeks for those ants to arrive. We were starting to get worried because Dr. Stevil is leaving at noon today for a weeks vacation in San Francisco. KK and I had no interest in adding the ants to the Gel Habitat.
